The first time we met Alli + Jon was on a lazy, cloudy Sunday at their Brooklyn apartment (affectionately known as House of Panda). Right when we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. Their decor of oddities neatly gleamed and glistened in the yellow glow of a marquee sign in the corner that read, "House of Panda Welcomes Chellise + Michael". Action figures nailed to the baseboards, a transparency projector from your second grade classroom, a hammock that stretched across the length of the living room, and the giant head of a white buffalo adorned in LED lights all made our eyes drool with envy and nostalgia. Where were we? Who were these magical beings? And if my equation of a couples living room being a good indicator of what their wedding will look and feel like, then what the hell were we in for with these two? Wait no further… the evidence is below.
P.S. Make sure you check out the video of Mike's surprise performance somewhere around cocktail hour. Yikes!
At this point in the night, Mike stood on a stool and sang "Queen to Be" from Coming to America as the couple entered their cocktail hour.
