We are New York City & Hudson Valley-based film and digital wedding photographers who take an unapologetic approach to documenting weddings and continue to explore our processes with relentless curiosity. If we didn’t, we would have burned out long ago, but year after year, we fall more in love with our work and keep adding more couples to our friend list.

We feel deeply fortunate and grateful to have clients who grant us carte blanche, allowing us to follow our intuition and free us from the restraints of creating cliche and staged images (matching pajama photos, a veil over the groom’s head, you get the picture).

We are forever proud to be part of the small echelon of Brooklyn photographers that paved the way for dismantling staged & traditional wedding photography, bringing new life to how wedding stories were told. Among the many accolades we have received, our favorites are being named “Top Wedding Photographers Doing Things Differently” & “30 Rising Stars” by Rangefinder Magazine, “Best of the Best” by Junebug Weddings (a vote of the best vendors by vendors) and “Best Wedding Photographer” by New York Mag. Our work has been featured in dozens of publications, including Vogue, Brides, Anti-Bride, The Cut, etc.

Describing one’s own work is one of the hardest things to do, so we lean on what our trusty colleagues and clients have to say to describe us, such as “candid, romantic, lived-in, emotive, nostalgic, rowdy, free-spirited, documentary, and strangely…anti-wedding”.

To be given access to your story, your friends, and your family through documenting your wedding day is such an incredibly emotional experience and the more our couples give access & willingness the better our work becomes.

We feel lucky to work with so many open, like-minded couples who rebel against the trends and do things their own way. Because of them, our work flourishes and keeps us going strong & fresh, and for this, we thank them.

Michael… Friend,

Had to pull out the full name so you understand.

I think we've collectively looked at the album like 50 million times. In awe. But mostly because we've learned that your artistry deserves time. To look at your photos once is to miss nuance and detail. We were so captured by these, we went back to our first album and realized we missed SO many treasures even in the photos we already knew we loved. Thank you so much. Like for real. We are so, so happy we chose you---we'd choose you again. You caught everything and did it so beautifully. Shook at how you navigated our friends and their cameras too.

From texture, color, double exposures, even the “accidental” blurry photos, combos, in the moment laughs....I feel like I'm not even doing it justice. There are so many more. We 'hearted' like 485 of them and now we need to figure out how we're going to make an album lol. You play with so many different elements and styles. So much diversity. True artistry.

Thank You

Alex & Jess

After looking at the team's online photos, we had a feeling that CMP was going to be a good fit. As soon as we hopped on our initial Zoom call, we were sold. Chellise and Michael had an incredible warmth and familiarity to them that were such a big draw in booking them as our wedding photographers. We ended up hiring Michael (though you can't go wrong with anyone on the team), who was extremely flexible in re-scheduling the included engagement shoot. Neither my wife or I are huge on being a focal point, and so we were nervous to do the engagement shoot. Mike ended up putting us right at ease and popping out some great, laid-back shots. Cut to the wedding - you GOTTA get the film package. The shots have such an incredible warmth to them. The photos don't feel staged or stiff - they transport us right back to some of our favorite moments. Aside from getting just a dope set of pictures, Mike was a blast to hang out with. We have heard from countless friends and family about what a presence he had. If he didn't have a camera strapped to him, you would have just thought he was a guest himself. I think this trait really put all our guests at ease and made for much better photos. We can't imagine the wedding without Mike there to document it!

Chellise - I am going to cry. I expected nothing less than perfection (it is you after all) but HOLY SH*T I AM IN SHOCK. These are everything.

You are truly an angel. I think i’m going to be up all night flipping through….

Thank you thank you thank you. <3 we love you!!

Jac & Andrew

To say we love them and will cherish them forever is an understatement. Every single photograph means something - wether it is something from that very moment at the wedding or a distant memory that has been surfaced by the photograph. The relationships Andrew and I have with each and every person at our wedding were documented beautifully - and for you to be our eyes when Andrew and I were not present is an ultimate gift. Even seeing the resemblance of one another and our families is blowing my mind. Families are so hard sometimes but truly something so beautiful and you gave us a gift and a forever reminder of that. The feeling I am feeling right now is exactly the reason I am a photographer - to show people their very own world. I wish for everyone to one day have this feeling we have right now. Beyond the talent and beauty of your photographs - there is something so much deeper that I will keep close to me forever.

So in love.

Thank you, thank you for being a part of my life for so so many years and for documenting a very special day for us. I (we) could not be happier.
